Lyman has since launched a number of educational initiatives, beginning with the Wider Horizons Project, a curriculum-based international student travel program developed in collaboration with the Boston University School of Education and the U.S. National Commission for UNESCO.
During this time he also published a series of 8 intercultural student travel workbooks and administered a 3rd World intercultural research study in collaboration with the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
He then produced a coast-to-coast school concert enrichment series from New York's Carnegie Hall to the Opera House in Seattle while coordinating a school speakers' series promoting citizenship awareness with Members of Congress.
In addition, Lyman organized and chaired a 3-day forum on intercultural education for U.S. teachers and administrators at UNESCO headquarters in Paris.
With the opening of Walt Disney's Epcot Center, Lyman founded Earth Shuttle, in collaboration with the Walt Disney Company, in utilizing EPCOT as an educational travel program involving schools from all 50 states and 7 countries.
Currently, Lyman is the President and Founder of a national online educational company called BlueNose Edutainment utilizing music, film, and sports as a way of motivating students to read and write.
In the past, Lyman has sat on the Advisory Board of the Discovery Channel's online homework product called Cosmeo and the national school publication called Science Weekly.
