Contributing editor to BNE, Forrest Stone has more than 20 years of experience in education, including leadership roles at Scholastic, Weekly Reader, Sundance Publishing and Education World.

Forrest is a pioneer in bringing the power of entertainment media to core-curriculum education and has helped bring more than three hundred new teaching tools into the PreK-12 universe, including Scholastic Storyworks magazine, the Weekly Reader Galaxy website, Weekly Reader Science Spin, and Education World.

Forrest has degrees from Harvard, Keele University in England and Yale.  His original plays and screenplays have been showcased in New York City, at Robert Redford’s Sundance Institute, and at the New York State Writers Institute.

Forrest has appeared on The Today Show and at many education conventions, urging educators to bring “real life” connections to learning.
